Georgian white tea is a minimally processed specialty tea made primarily from the unopened buds and the first young leaves of Camellia sinensis plants cultivated in Georgia’s unique terroir. Harvesting typically takes place in early spring, when the leaves are most tender and rich in amino acids, polyphenols, and essential oils.
The processing method is simple and delicate: freshly plucked buds are carefully withered under natural airflow and mild temperatures to reduce moisture content, followed by gentle drying. Unlike green or black tea, white tea undergoes no rolling and minimal oxidation (usually less than 10%), preserving its natural shape, silvery appearance, and high concentration of antioxidants.
The infusion is pale, ranging from light golden to straw-colored, with a clean, delicate aroma. Flavor characteristics are typically soft and floral with light sweetness, subtle notes of honey or meadow herbs, and a lingering freshness. The low caffeine content compared to black tea, along with high levels of catechins and theanine, makes Georgian white tea prized for both its taste and health benefits.
Anditri Tea Estate in Terjola, western Georgia, is a family-run estate owned by brothers Grigoli and Elguja Bitsadze. Unlike typical plantations, it is more of a wild tea forest where tea bushes grow naturally among trees, creating a unique ecosystem. The estate follows organic practices under GOTPA certification and is known for its rare wild harvest teas, which are picked only once a year in spring. Its signature Georgian Forest Black tea has earned international awards, highlighting Anditri as a leader in the revival of Georgia’s tea heritage.

We ship our tea worldwide directly from our warehouse in Georgia - Samtredia. We ship all of our orders with a tracking number and signature confirmation upon delivery.
