Processing Method: Georgian black tea is produced using traditional Orthodox or modern mechanical methods, depending on the estate. The Orthodox process includes withering, rolling, full oxidation, and drying, which preserves whole leaves or large broken leaf grades. Mechanically processed variants are also produced, primarily for commercial blends.

“Megrelian Tea” was established in 2016 in the village of Taleri, Martvili Municipality. The company owns a factory equipped with modern standards and its own 40 hectares of tea plantations. Tea plantation is located in Tekhura river gorge, 380 meters above sea level.
“Megrelian tea” is focused to produce organic products. It is important that the highest quality tea leaves are harvested by hand in the plantation every year, from which the company produces different types of natural Georgian tea. Each type of tea is characterized by a distinctive aroma and refined taste.
