🍃 Buetea Green Tea is a premium-class orthodox, non-fermented green tea, produced from hand-picked, pesticide-free tea leaves grown under local conditions on the high-mountain slopes of Tkibuli. This ensures careful selection of the leaves required for production and a high quality of raw material.
⚙️ Processing method: Green tea undergoes minimal processing with great care, including thermal fixation to stop oxidation; orthodox rolling; and drying at low temperatures to improve leaf integrity and aroma. These steps preserve the clean green color, natural antioxidants (catechins, polyphenols), and amino acids such as L-theanine, as well as its bright green appearance, fresh vegetal aroma, and naturally soft, delicate taste with a clean, slightly astringent finish and deep notes of green fruits and dried fruits. The tea is rich in antioxidants, polyphenols, natural caffeine, tannins, amino acids, and vitamins.
🌿 Raw material: 100% natural tea leaves (Camellia sinensis); hand-picked — the most common for premium tea — two leaves and a bud; contains no artificial additives, flavorings, or colorants.
🔥 Fixation: At high temperature in a fixation unit for 3–5 minutes, 8–10 kg.
🔄 Leaf rolling: Oxidation is stopped at 0–5% and the leaf is given a rolled shape.
🌬️ Drying: Hot-air drying in a drying oven to reduce moisture to 3–6%.
👁️ Appearance of dry leaf: Rolled, twisted leaves; dry leaf color ranges from light green to emerald.
🌼 Aroma: Fresh, grassy, and floral, with notes of green fruits.
👅 Taste: Soft and delicate, with minimal bitterness, creating a distinct and pleasant flavor.
🫖 Infusion: Light green liquor with aromatic taste, gentle sweetness, and low bitterness, creating a pleasant flavor ideal for daily consumption.
♨️Brewing recommendation: Steep 1-2 teaspoons (or 1 tea bag) 🫖 in hot water ♨️ at a temperature of approximately 80–85°C (175–185°F) for 2-3 minutes ⏱️ to enjoy its delicate aroma 🌿.
🏔️ Quality factors: High-mountain zone; large temperature differences between summer and winter days; abundant Black Sea rainfall of 1300–1800 mm per year; high humidity; altitude of 700–750 m above sea level; clean air and mobile volcanic-origin soil.
🧪 Chemical composition (typical values)
✔️ Polyphenols: 24–36% — Polyphenols are powerful antioxidants that help reduce oxidative stress and support cellular health. Higher polyphenol content indicates higher-quality green tea with stronger protective benefits for the immune system and metabolism.
✔️ Catechins (EGCG, ECG, EGC): 8–12% — Catechins are a subgroup of polyphenols, including EGCG, the most active antioxidant in green tea. They support fat oxidation, reduce inflammation, and support cardiovascular health. The 8–12% range is typical for premium, minimally processed green tea.
✔️ Amino acids (L-theanine): 3–5% — L-theanine is responsible for green tea’s calming yet alert effect. It promotes mental clarity, reduces stress, and balances the stimulating effect of caffeine.
⚡ Caffeine content: 20–35 mg per 100 ml of infusion — In green tea, caffeine provides smooth, sustained energy without nervousness.
💧 Moisture content: ≤6% — Low moisture ensures proper leaf preservation and maintains tea quality during storage.
🧂 Ash content: 4–7% — Reflects the total mineral content of the tea and healthy soil conditions.
🌸 Essential oils: 0.4–0.6% — Contribute to the natural aroma and flavor profile, creating a more aromatic infusion.
🥗 Proteins and minerals: 1–2% — Contribute to nutritional value and provide essential microelements for the body.
